Faced with these challenges, Bouygues Construction had a clear objective: to deploy cutting-edge technology capable of optimizing performance, securing each site and streamlining the construction site from structural work to finishing.
Working with Topocenter (Hexagon’s trusted distribution and service partner in France), Bouygues Construction introduced the Leica iCON iCS50 robotic construction sensor to the site.
Compact, lightweight and intuitive, the iCS50 enables a fully digital layout workflow that can be operated by a single person, directly from a tablet.
The solution combines the iCS50 with the vPole smart pole and visual target technology, allowing layout tasks to be carried out quickly and accurately, even in complex or partially obstructed areas. The system’s AI supported visual camera continuously calculates orientation, inclination, height and position in real time, while QRcode vTargets simplify daily setup and automated repositioning on site.
Designed for demanding construction environments, the Leica iCON iCS50 delivers reliable performance in all conditions. Automatic tilt compensation means the operator does not need to hold the pole perfectly vertical, while robust protection against dust and moisture ensures consistent accuracy throughout the project.
