Leica iCON iGD1 - CoPilot Solution

1D automatic dozer blade control

An easy-to-use solution that allows operators to set a desired slope/grade reference and automatically holds that slope/grade without the need for lasers, masts or GNSS. By automatically adjusting the blade position, CoPilot enables operators at any experience level to easily achieve and maintain a smooth surface, slope or grade without the need for additional passes and re-work, reducing fuel and labour costs.

The new modern 5'' and 7'' Leica iCON MCP50 and MCP70 panels feature a very bright multi-touch screen display, providing great visibility throughout the day, night, and under every light condition. The Leica iCON iGD1 dozer software application runs inside our new Smart Junction Box - no longer directly from the panel – improving overall system performance and adding flexibility for feature solution developments.

Reduce rework

Hit the correct grade the first time. You can set the target slope and start dozing immediately with the auto target function. The elevation of the blade is controlled automatically by the CoPilot system.

Avoid mistakes

The iGD CoPilot eliminates the creation of washboard surfaces and incorrect cross slope of the blade. As a result, beginner operators are able deliver professional results, leading to reduced costs caused by rework and wear and tear.

Reduce training efforts

Even less experienced operators will do the job more productively in a shorter period of time. With CoPilot assistance, the personnel will be able to control multiple machines without the need for specialised training. On top of that, the iGD CoPilot works without a rotating laser, total station or GNSS correction source.
