The term Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) is referred to by the UK government to describe assets that are critical for society and the economy to be able to function. There are 13 national infrastructure sectors in the UK including civil nuclear, chemicals, communications, defence emergency services, energy, finance, food, government, health, space, transport and water.
Each sector must be protected from terrorist attack. Leica ScanStation technology is used all over the world for measuring, modelling and documenting critical infrastructure. The models can be shared amongst personnel using our free Leica TruView panoramic point cloud viewer.
Leica TruView enables users to view, zoom in and/or pan over point clouds. TruView enables operators to see high definition scanning point clouds on their computer screens almost exactly as if you were standing on the scene. Users can extract 3D coordinates and accurately measure distances with results appearing right on the point cloud image. Information can then be saved and shared with all relevant security professionals.
