Get an accurate overview of where your total stations are on the map via Wi-Fi, GNSS, and LTE. Additionally, with live updates, you can follow your instrument's location in real time.

With GeoCloud Protect, you also benefit from smart tracking features. For example, when a locked instrument is moved, the location update rate increases for higher accuracy tracking. When the instrument stops, the update rate lowers to conserve battery life, ensuring long-lasting protection.

Remove motivation for thieves with remote locking and stolen mode

With GeoCloud Protect, you can remotely lock your total station via the GeoCloud Fleet web or mobile app - even if the device is powered off. Protect also detects tampering instantly and locks when someone removes or interferes with its onboard communication device.

Once locked, your total station shuts down entirely and is unusable, removing motivation for thieves.

In case of theft, you can mark your total station as stolen in GeoCloud Protect. The device will lock automatically and be identified as stolen if brought to a Leica Geosystems service centre, making resale nearly impossible.

When you have your total station back and are ready to use it again, no need to visit a service centre - simply mark as retrieved in the web or mobile app.

Movements alerts and location data for faster recovery

Turn on movement alerts that will detect and inform you about unusual activity with your total station. If the instrument is moved, an immediate email or push notification enables you to contact authorities quickly and increase chances of a fast recovery.

Protect also gives you access to the complete location history of your total station, which you can filter by time or tracking accuracy to narrow in on key details. Export this data as exact addresses and Google Maps locations to share with authorities, enabling them to pinpoint the location and cross-reference surveillance footage.
